Pod Coffee Machine

Caffeine dependability is real because many of us have experienced the unpleasant drawback when not consuming them in a period of time and we don’t even need to wait for days since even in hours, we can feel how our body crave for the stimulant. Among many beverages that has caffeine in it, coffee will be the most popular and widely consumed since teenagers to adults and elderly people due to its delicious taste and of course, a fuel to power your day.

Coffee, like a tea needs to be prepared and with the rising popularity of this bean derived beverage, there are various ways to brew your coffee which in result will give different taste and consistency. When it comes to preference, we can’t say much for it is very personal and we should enjoy what taste better in our tongue including if coffee is not matching your preference. Our complaint about coffee is only its preparation process because we don’t want to spend much time boiling water and steeping them manually.

This is also an issue for us who prefer to drink coffee with additional milk or other recipe to enrich the taste for it means we also have to prepare and measure/add the ingredients manually. While it is not a hassle, time is expensive and our life request a fast pace even while brewing coffee which is also translated as convenience so at least we don’t have to deal with each of these steps. If you are also seeing coffee brewing as a time consuming activity, a machine will be very helpful.

Coffee machines are those that can dispense the beverage of your choice and depend on the model, they are not only going to brew your beverage but also let users decide some of its personalization such as size and temperature. Unlike brewers such as BUNN Speed Brew vs NHS Velocity Brew, a coffee machine is working with a more types of coffee or beverages; based on their working system. The most popular type of machine we used for home or office is the pod type.

These machines are requiring pod that match their system such as K-Cup for Keurig and Nespresso Capsules for Nespresso machines. As opposed to espresso machine, they are very fast to use, versatile for different kinds of beverages, and is cheaper since basically they only assist the brewing process with hot water while all of the mix is packed inside the cup or capsules.

About Keurig K3000SE and K150

If you are drinking coffee oftenly or want something that can be used fast to both brew and serve the cup full of your favorite beverages, a pod coffee machine will be a great option to go. They are widely available but, we can agree that Keurig is one of the biggest if not the biggest player in the market so every time we mention coffee pods, the first name comes to our mind is the brand. They are also the one who popularized this brewing system, followed by other companies.

Keurig has been in the market for quite some time already and it is understandable to see so many machines being offered but, as users, we also often confused about those machines since many of them are too similar to each other which makes it hard to decide in terms of selecting the one with the best capabilities. The company also not very informative about their products so we have to find them by digging up information from various sources that of course, not convenient and helpful.

For those with no issue against coffee pods and need its fast operation as well as convenience, especially people who need a machine that can take more load than standard home use, Keurig K3000SE and K150 are two of the best options. As you can guess, they are a single serving coffee machine, working with Keurig pods types and are not capable of making espresso. On their core, these machines are more like a brewer but with more personalization and versatile enough for different users.

Keurig K3000SE and K150 Design

Placing them side by side, as you can see from the sample picture above, they are looking like a close brothers since the overall design are too similar with some distinct differences, especially on the control and water tank placement. They may appear to have the same dimensions on picture but in reality, the K3000SE is coming in a bigger form compared to K150 which is probably due to its recommendation usage since this model is made for commercial purpose only such as in office establishment.

Keurig K3000SE is unlike any home use coffee pod machine need to be direct lined with your water source for there is no reservoir to place the water directly except the one used to heat the water. As opposed, K150 have a water reservoir or tank on the right which we can fill directly with regular water or filtered water but, if needed can be direct lined as well. Both machines have a small display but K150 is prettier with colored and touch-sensitive screen.

The K3000SE has a small display with a more archaic quality and it is also narrow to only view a few lines of information as well as navigate with its four buttons below. They, however, have the same spout design and a drip tray which is more attractive on the commercial version due to its flip ability in case you need to fit taller tumbler.

Keurig K3000SE and K150 Beverage and Sizes

Coming further, the first thing we ask when looking for any beverage dispenser machine is what kind of drinks we can have from the machine but, the answer for both of these machines will be the same because as long as the pods are made for Keurig machines, we can drink anything from the brands so not only those made by the brand. We have many different coffee brands who also offer their pods for these machines and only those who are purchasing newer brewing system will have different pods.

Brands like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are offering their own blend and everyone’s favorite like Green Mountain, Barista Prima, or Eight O’Clock are also a great choice to brew in your machine. In case you are not very fond of coffee, we can have Lipton tea or even hot chocolate from other brands. As for the sizes, Keurig K3000SE and K150 are also offering several different sizes for users; 4 oz., 6 oz., 10 oz., and 12 oz. but the commercial machine don’t have the 12 oz. option.

Keurig K3000SE and K150 Features

The next capabilities we love from these machines is their programmability because here we are free to choose our desired adjustment not only just the beverage size but also the temperature unlike with some machines like K400 and K500. All of the program are displayed on the menu and here we can choose a range of temperature from 188oF to 198oF while the preset is at 193oF but, we have to admit that changing and navigating menu in K150 is much easier with its touch screen.

Another feature we love from Keurig coffee machine or the K150 to be exact is its automation since this machine is allowing its user to automatically set the machine to be On/Off in certain hours through the menu. We can leave it active all the time so the machine is ready whenever needed but, to save energy, we can set a time when the machine can wake up on its own or deactivate on its own without our assistance but, make sure the time is already correct before activating this feature.

The last feature we find convenient about the machine or K3000SE in this part is its empty cup collection since it has a wide bin inside the machine that collects empty pods from the users unlike the K150 which can’t keep any of them so we have to dispose the cup after each use.

Now, let’s compare Keurig K3000SE with K150. As you may already know, both of them are very similar to each other but are also different since the K3000SE is a commercial machine we need to direct lined and made to be used by more people but with less options especially on beverage sizes but, it also has pods collection inside for a more convenient disposing process.
